We have been extremely busy this weekend. On Saturday we went to the Rowan Tree Butterfly Release in the morning. The ceremony was awesome and so many babies were remebered!! We let butterflies go and watched them fly around while the kids played. After that, we went to a awesome breakfast at the Pinery. We had really good food!! Then in the afternoon, we went swimming. Swimming is becoming a weekly event and Carson LOVES the water!!

Today we went to Lily's third birthday party. A bunch of animals were there for Carson and all the kids to pet and play with. We had a Llama, Alpaca, goat, bunnies, chickens, horse, ducks and he got to ride the horse. The kids loved all the animals. We had a great time and now Carson is down for his afternoon nap. We are going to hang out the rest of the day and go on a walk when Brian gets home.

Please help us raise awareness for the work we are doing at Rowan Tree Foundation. We are working hard to reach 1,000 members on facebook, and can do it with your help.

Child death happens every single day, all over the world. Given the magnitude of occurrences, you'd think there would be equal levels of support responses from the communities of the world. You'd think that all medical professionals from obstetrics to peds would have had training in compassionate care-giving for the circumstances where a child dies. The reality is that its the luck of the draw as far as how your medical team is able to support you in your grief.

Rowan Tree Foundation is an all volunteer organization that works to support families after the death of a child during pregnancy, or after they are born. Isolation accompanies this sort of loss, and parents and friends need to know there is a place they can go to be heard, to read, to connect, and most of all, to realize they are not alone.

We're working this summer to increase our reach around the globe, and one of the ways we are connecting to new folks is through facebook. Rowan Tree Foundation

On August 1st, Brian and I will be attending the Rowan Tree Foundation yearly fundraiser. The night includes a silent auction, eating, casino night and much more!! We went last year and we had a blast. The event raises money to help bereaving families and much more.

Rowan Tree Foundation has put a statue in the park, had a butterfly release (which was absolutely amazing) and we had a December dedication at the statue. My friend, Corinne- is the founder and executive director and I couldn't ask for someone more special to me. She has helped me in many ways and I can never thank her enough for what she has done. Please think about donating-- you can donate at her website www.rowantreefoundation.org. Even if you don't live in Colorado- you can still buy a ticket and not attend. We need all the help we can get so that we can touch others lives who are hurting from the most awful experience that I've ever endured. This organization is awesome and they have done great things for many people.
